The First Month of StampFans: Snail Mail for Your Junk Journal

If you love slow crafting, creative journaling, or happy mail, you’re in the right place. The very first StampFans letter went out in May with ocean blues and summer vibes.

StampFans is the newest subscription from Found and Flowered. Whether you're new to junk journaling or have five notebooks going at once, StampFans is a fun, low-pressure way to keep your creativity flowing and your journal pages full.

It’s kind of like a printable - but already printed for you. No streaky pages, no “out of ink” warning, just ready-to-use inspiration in your mailbox.

What is StampFans?

StampFans is a monthly snail mail subscription that sends you a 4–5 page printed letter filled with vintage-inspired designs and backgrounds to cut up and use in your journal. Each mailing is:

  • Printed double-sided on 8.5 x 11 matte paper (glue stick-friendly!)

  • Designed with curated backgrounds, illustrations, and collage-friendly elements

  • Intended to be used, not saved

At $5/month, it’s a simple, affordable way to keep your snail mail journal fresh with new materials - and a fun way to add a little more whimsy to your day with a surprise in the mailbox.

A Closer Look at the First Letter: Saltwater Collections

For the first-ever StampFans mailing, sent out in May 2025, the theme was inspired by the ocean - New England shorelines, vintage blues, and washed-up treasures.

Included in the May letter:

  • A personal note and welcome

  • Vintage-style ocean ephemera - coastal postcards, fish illustrations, starfish

  • A soft, vintage-blue patterned background

  • A sample digitally-created collage showing how the pieces might be used

How I Used It in My Journal

The May StampFans pieces worked well alongside the Summertime Edition of the Found and Flowered newspaper, so I paired them in a few ocean-themed spreads I’ve been working on.

I like crumpling the background papers before gluing them down - it adds texture and makes the page feel a little more “junky.”

Snail Mail for Your Creative Brain

There’s something really charming about getting a letter in the mail, especially one that’s made just for your creative brain.

StampFans is small and simple - but it’s meant to feel like a little unexpected lightness in your day, adding that bit of whimsy.

If you’re looking for a snail mail journal subscription that’s easy, curated thoughtfully, and inexpensive - the Found and Flowered StampFans might be a nice addition to your creative routine.
